Searchers are once again focusing on a Franklin marsh as the search for a missing Duke University student enters its fourth day Wednesday.

20-year-old engineering major Michael Doherty was last seen early Sunday morning at a party at a friend's house, police say. His family reported him missing when he didn't return home.

According to multiple media outlets, friends of Doherty's say they wanted him to sleep over at the party but that he wanted to walk through the woods to his house, which is about a half-mile away.

Earlier this week, searchers found a shirt and shoes belonging to Doherty. Divers, a state police search and rescue team and K-9 units have all been involed in the search effort, according to police. In a press briefing on Tuesday, Franklin Deputy Police Chief James Mill said foul play is not suspected in the disappearance.

On Tuesday night, hundreds of people turned out for a candlelight vigil in a show of support for Doherty's family.
