Police Commissioner asking witnesses to come forward

A triple shooting in Boston leaves one man dead and two others seriously injured.

Boston police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Parker and Tremont Streets in Roxbury around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police found three men suffering from gunshot wounds. A victim found on Tremont Street was taken to Boston Medical Center and pronounced dead. Police saying he appeared to be in his late teens. Two other victims were found outside the Tobin Community Center and on Sewall Street, they are listed in critical and serious condition.

In a release Boston Police Commissioner William Evans urging witnesses to come forward, “my officers tell me there were a lot of witnesses in the area at the time of the shooting and we would certainly be grateful for any information they might possess and, hopefully, be willing to share.”


There were about 200 people inside the community center watching a basketball game during the shooting. No arrests have been made.
