Charles Krauthammer is surprised by the excuses being offered for the president's poor performance in last week's debate, but he's pleased by the improvement Romney's showing in the polls.

Romney, among all the voters who are extremely likely to vote, is up by 6, and three weeks ago he was down by 3... so, I think right now the race is tied, with Romney still having some of the momentum... and I think the rest of this will be determined by the remaining debates...
