It's a very merry and bright Christmas this year at the White House! First Lady Melania has overseen a beautiful Christmas display at the White House that has everyone oooing and ahhhing. This year's Christmas theme is "American Treasures". The Christmas trees were not the only stunning thing at the White House either. First Lady Melania stunned in a blinding white sparkly Celine form fitting dress. When Mr. President and her welcomed their guests to the White House at the 2018 Congressional Ball, Melania descended down the stairs like an angel and looked like she stepped right off the runway in her gorgeous dress! She posed in that same dress to take the President and First Lady's official Christmas portrait. Take a look!

Did you know that according to the White House, the main Christmas tree needs to be a certain height? "The White House Christmas tree, which serves as a centerpiece for Christmas decorations, must stand 18-19 feet tall and reach the ceiling of the Blue Room, where the chandelier is removed each holiday season to accommodate the tree."
First Lady Melania said about Christmas at the White House this year: "This is a joyous time of year when we decorate the White House for the Christmas Season. Our theme honors the heart and spirit of the American people. Thank you to the many volunteers and staff who worked hard to decorate the halls of the People’s House in Christmas cheer. On behalf of my family, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
Some facts about this year's display at the White House:
- The East Wing features Gold Star Family trees again this year.
- The Blue Room features an over 18 foot tall Christmas tree dressed in over 500 feet of blue velvet ribbon embroidered in gold with each State and territory.
- The Red Room features a child's touch through decor.
- The Green Room highlights America's history of bounty and harvest & features fruits & vegetables on the tree.
- The State Dining Room features this year's Gingerbread House as well as the country's national symbols such as a bald eagle, the rose, and the oak tree.
- There are more than 14,000 red ornaments hanging from 29 trees throughout the Grand Foyer and Cross Hall.
The White House is offering more than 100 open houses and receptions to show off their displays. It's anticipated that more than 30,000 people are expected to walk the halls of the White House this year during a public tour.
