The House (more specifically Republicans) have officially passed legislation to allow concealed carry license owners to conceal their handgun across state lines.

It's called the "Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act" which allows anyone with a concealed carry permit to travel with their handgun across state lines. This legislation is a huge victory for the NRA, along with all gun owners and supporters of the Second Amendment. Thanks to the House Republicans the law change passed 231-198 (six Democrats supporting), but that wont stop Democrats from still trying to block the step forward.

Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC), the bills sponsor, finally succeeded in what he has attempted to pass for years. Hudson states that this legislation will even clarify the restrictions for gun owners. He states it would eliminate the confusion that gun owners face if they unknowingly break the law by traveling with their weapon.

“For the millions of law-abiding citizens who lawfully carry concealed to protect themselves, for conservatives who want to strengthen our Second Amendment rights, and for the overwhelming majority of Americans who support concealed carry reciprocity, Christmas came early,” - Rep. Richard Hudson

The next step comes in the form of a full House vote. This should occur before the end of the year, and plays a big role in creating continued freedom for the responsible gun owners.
