Alex Castellanos explains the difference between the candidates on dealing with the economy in terms of a burning house.

The Obama strategy seems to be, rich people are in a nicer room than poor people, Hispanics are not in as nice a room as Anglos... and you back up and the house is burning down... Romney has a plan for growth, Democrats have a plan to redistribute what we already have, that's not enough...

Tom Brokaw says the president will have to answer to the American people for the exploding debt, referencing what Obama said in debate four years ago.

I looked at that debate we that talked about a moment ago, it was playing last night on C-SPAN... President Obama was saying, “Look, we've got a deficit of half a trillion dollars. I'm going to get that under control.” Well, this week, that deficit is $1.1 trillion and it happened on his watch. He is going to have to answer for that.

Great video of Liz Warren reciting her lines so many times that even she gets sick of it and answers a question about whether she supports unions fining members for not showing up to 'volunteer' for Warren. Good stuff starts around :45 in.

I don't know anything about it, but I will say this. I'm very proud of the union endorsment that I've received... I want to go to Washington not to work for millionaires and billionaires but to work for working families...

Bay Buchanan echoes Alex Castellanos (see post below) when she says a soft underbelly to the president's support was exposed by the first debate.

That we could take away a woman's gap of 18 points and close it in 90 minutes...  it tells me, Americans are looking for something... if there's something better they're going to go there. What did Ryan say? I'm another thoughtful, very knowledgable.... he sent that same message of leadership that can make a difference in this country...

Stephen Colbert tells David Gregory that he's very pleased as a performer that Mitt Romney has finally found his footing as a candidate.

I model conservative punditry. If he's not someone I can follow then I'm lost. And I have to say, up until Wednesday night I just thought, 'I don't know what I'm going to do for the next month' ... he was just a walking, shambling mound of... weakness.

Now he's got these long luscious coattails and everyone's jumping onboard.

Alex Castellanos is a very smart GOP consultant and TV analyst. Listen to his quick encapsulation of exactly what happened to the Obama campaign when Mitt Romney showed up to a debate.

President Obama hasn't really been trying to get elected again, he's been trying to stop Mitt Romney from getting elected. And, that cracked... Mitt Romney was not the guy that Barack Obama had been painting... Barack Obama now has no campaign for the future why he's indespensibly needed...

This is a man with two empty holsters, his campaign could collapse.

Joe Leno did a big chunk of his monologue on the VP debate.

As you know, 'my friend' is political talk for up yours...

Joe Biden's over the top behavior and facial expressions are the focus of SNL's debate spoof.

When the Amtrak breaks down on my morning commute... I push that bitch all the way to Washington...

The Romney campaign has a couple of new ads up in key states that use some debate sequences to drive home the point that, between the two of them, Mitt's the leader. Very effective.

Did Joe Biden go to far in trying to provoke Paul Ryan and the leftist base of the Dems in Thursday's debate? Ruth Marcus and Karen Tumulty, both of the Washington Post, were taken aback.

For that slice of the electorate that is potentially on the fence... It may have come off as... disrespectful, or at worst, buffoonish.
