White House: Jobs Plan Doesn't Need to be Stimulative

The White House says the president's spending plan doesn't need to be stimulative - ie, change the course of the economy over the long term. Political Director David Plouffe says it's enough to provide an injection of borrowed money to ease the pain over the short term.

So, what are we supposed to do? Nothing? So the economy will be worse over the next year or two? That makes no sense at all.

Which means the proposal is nothing but another debt bomb, designed to provide work to people who might otherwise feel the full effects of just how bad White House policies have made the economy.
