Weiner Not Resigned to Resignation
Anthony Weiner demonstrated last week that stonewalling is a strategy he favors, and it's one he's using again as he repeats today that he won't resign, even as another congressional Democrat calls for him to quit.
Utah Rep. Jim Matheson has joined the growing chorus of Democrats calling for the resignation of embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner, who admitted this week to inappropriate online relationships with women.
“It’s time for him to go,” Matheson said in an interview. “His behavior was reprehensible. The initial act was reprehensible; the effort to mislead people after the fact was is not appropriate either. It’s not appropriate for an elected official in the public eye to be engaged in those sorts of activities.”
Weiner also wouldn't comment - at all - on his wife's pregnancy.
