Sweet 16

Christine O'Donnell is doing a nice job of turning the attacks against her into an advantage. Attack her on her masturbation comments, she rebuts that she was running on the thrill of her newfound Christianity, then pivots into a pitch on where her passions take her today - to a strong belief in the Constitution. On her witchcraft statements with Bill Maher in the 1990's, she uses a similar deflection.

"I was in high school, how many of you didn't hang out with questionable folks in high school? But no, there's been no witchcraft since," she said, shrugging off her dalliances with the dark arts. "Now let’s put that to rest and move on to what we’re going to do," she said.

Talking about her embrace of Christianity, her devotion to the Constitution, or deflecting her mortgage struggles by saying she's regular folk, all play right into the Tea Party moment.
