She Got Juice
Nevada Tea Party candidate Sharron Angle is the victim of a sting, as a secret tape is released as she tried to convince an independent candidate to get out of the race so she can face Harry Reid straight up. The good news is her trashing of the GOP.
Angle: “The Republicans have lost their standards, they’ve lost their principles…..Really that’s why the machine in the Republican Party is fighting against me…..They have never really gone along with lower taxes and less government.”
Angle: “…what has happened to me in this whole definition of me by Harry Reid….It’s hard…and it’s especially hard when you know it’s not true.”
The bad news in the tape is Angle's attempt to get her opponent out of the race, saying her influence in Washington would become his.
She later assures him she can use her "juice" to arrange meetings with GOP leaders, including South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
Apparently unimpressed, Ashjian replies he can make those calls on his own. He never gives Angle his blessing, though he says he likes her and points out they share conservative values.
