Scott's Witt Mitt

No, Scott Brown's not running for president.

Sen. Scott Brown insisted Tuesday that he's not running for president in 2012, but suggested that he'll back Mitt Romney if the former Massachusetts governor decides to run for president again.

"I'm not sure who's going to run yet, obviously," the Massachusetts Republican said Tuesday morning on MSNBC. "I supported Gov. Romney last time and if he decides to run I'll support him again."

He called Romney "one of the nicest, hardworking men I've ever met."

Brown, who was elected last year to fill the seat occupied for more than four decades by Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy, said his own focus, for the time being, isn't on the White House but on Capitol Hill. Brown is up for reelection to a full term in 2012.

"I'm focusing on my reelection," he said. "And you know what it's like to run for reelection, so I'm gearing up for that. We've already announced that we're doing just that."
