I suppose Charles Rangel thinks he's being funny when he confesses that there are others who could do his job in congress.
"I say there is no question in my mind that there are people that can more than adequately represent this great diversified district," he said "The problem is none of them are running in this race."
But the tragic fact is, those who use the power of incumency as a weapon agains the people, to keep themselves in power forever, are the enemies of Democracy.
Ted Kennedy's 47 years in the United States senate was a tragedy for the people of Massachusetts... a generation and a half spent without experiencing a fair fight for that office. The Scott Brown election was, I believe, caused in part by the refusal by voters to have another fraudulent office holder forced on them by the arrogant power structure.
