Presidential Island

The president remains on an island.

At 6:28 p.m., POTUS left the home of Harvard Law School professor Charles Ogletree. “The president attended an informal reception with about a hundred people in attendance,” said Principle Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest in a statement released by the White House. “The gathering was organized by his friend, Prof. Ogletree. Valerie Jarrett also attended.”

A small crowd gathered at the corner of Alpine Street and Hudson Avenue, waving as the motorcade passed by. About a minute later, the motorcade passed an Oak Bluffs home where a man waved a large yellow “Don't tread on me,” flag.

The motorcade arrived back at Blue Heron Farm about 6:44 p.m. A pair of wild turkeys took advantage of the blocked off roadway to meander slowly across South Road.
