The president had a Katrina induced sit-down with Brian Williams yesterday, and he used the opportunity to say that he didn't watch Glenn Beck's rally in Washington on Saturday. But he did blame Beck's success on George W. Bush.
Asked about the Beck rally, President Barack Obama told “NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams” that he didn’t watch it but that he understood the anxiety among some Americans.
He also addressed the Birther issue, complaining that he can't spend all his time running around with a birth certificate plastered to his forehead - graphic language that some interpret as impatience over the issue.
“The facts are the facts. We went through some of this during the campaign — there is a mechanism, a network of misinformation that in a new media era can get churned out there constantly,” said a visibly annoyed Obama, referring to “birthers,” who have waged a guerilla campaign questioning the validity of his Hawaiian birth certificate.
I'm not sure that I see the visible annoyance, do you?
