Wouldn't you think a debate with a passive moderator would be 'advantage, president?' But that was one of the defenses offered for the president's horrible performance being hurled Thursday by Obama cover-up artists like Chris Matthews, who's sense of equilibrium has been damaged by seeing Barack Obama without his superimposed halo.

Well, I think he had to be both the moderator, which wasn't really being done by anybody else, and the fact checker...

Al Gore - it's hard to believe that he was almost the president of the United States - did his best to make Chris Matthews seem level headed.

Obama arrived in Denver at 2pm... just a few hours before the debate started. Romney did his debate prep in Denver... when you go to five thousand feet...

Where have all the halos gone, long time passing...

Andrea Mitchell is dumb enough to think she's smart enough to debate Gov John Sununu. He pummels her into silence.

The Bush tax cuts were continued by Barack Obama in 2010. They're in place now because Barack Obama supported them. He supported them because he recognized as he said then raising taxes when the economy is lousy is the wrong thing to do. He may not know it, but the economy is still lousy.

Even James Lipton of the Actor's Studio can't get over the transformation of Mitt.

For the first time he found himself in the moment... What he did was remarkable...

Andrea Mitchell acts all disjointed, but wouldn't object concretely when former NH Gov John Sununu used a serious of insults, includinng the word lazy, to explain the president's failure in Wednesday's debate.

What people saw last night, I think, was a president that revealed his incompetence, how lazy and detached he is, and how he has absolutely no idea how serious the economic problems of the country are, and how he has failed to even begin to address them.

Pressed by host Andrea Mitchell about whether Sununu really intended to call Obama "lazy," Sununu stood by his comments. "Yes," Sununu said. "He didn't want to prepare for this debate. He's lazy and disengaged."

Mitchell is stunned because lazy has been deemed racial code by the left, and if one is so free of racial bias as to use one of their unapproved words, they are eager to call you racist.

Chris Matthews melts down over the president's horrible performance in the first debate.

What was Romney doing? He was winning! If he (Obama) does five more of these he's finished!

James Carville wasn't happy with the president's debate performance.

I had one overwhelming impression. I did everything I could not to reach it, but I had to reach it. It looked like Romney wanted to be there and President Obama didn't want to be there...

The president offers his usual hate Exxon/Mobil energy plan, but Mitt rebuts tax breaks for oil companies by telling Barack he's given 50 times as much money in tax breaks to green energy projects, half of which ended up failing.

“You put $90 billion — like 50 years’ worth of breaks — into solar and wind, to Solyndra and Fisker and Tesla and Ener1... I had a friend who said, you don’t just pick the winners and losers; you pick the losers.

David Gergen says Mitt Romney gave his best debate performance ever, and that no one's spoken to Obama like that in years.

I didn't think he was rusty so much as I don't think anybody's ever spoken to him like that over the last four years... I think he found that not only surprising but offensive in some ways. It looked like he was angry at times.

Mitt brought the words of the Founders down upon the failed policies of the president.

But we also believe in maintaing for individuals the right to pursue their dreams... and not to have the govef substitute itself for the rights of free individuals. And what we're seeing right now.. is a trickle down government approach.
