Paul Krugman defends the president by saying the economy is on the road to a very slow recovery.

We're maybe a quarter of the way back from the damage that was done by the financial crisis, but we are making our way back.

All the whining from the left over Jim Lehrer offering to much freedom to Mitt Romney is more than a little pathetic. Barack is, after all, the incumbent - with access to information that no one else can equal - and he is the smartest leader in the history of leaders. James Carville makes the point.

No, it's not the arrow, it's the Indian.

BTW, is James Carville a racist? No only does he refer to Native Americans as Indians, but he calls the president an Indian, Yikes!

Why is it believable to people that the White House deliberately covered up the terror attack in Benghazi in order to keep the Obama terror record clean, but outrageous to suggest that a number wasn't fudged along the way to the September Jobs Report?

My starting assumption on any story is that they'll do anything they can get away with to get power - Republicans and Democrats alike - and anyone not taking that approach is being naive. Reporters who report what the White House says as if it's credible are simply not doing their jobs.

Mitt Romney, chasing the ladies.

Why can't fact checkers get their facts straight?

But hold on, the Truth Squad over at NBC News vetted the same $5 trillion charge and came to a different conclusion.

It strikes me that the focus should be on getting candidates to state their philosophical convictions. Those are something you can hold them to later. Detailed legislative proposals aren't going to come true anyway.

Man on the Street interview asks Obama supporters if it's fair that the debate commission didn't let the president use his teleprompter. No one seemed to notice how ridiculous the concept is - ie, aren't debates about responding spontaneously to the things one's opponent says - how would a teleprompter adjust the text to answer a specific point? Funny.

As he reacts to Mitt Romney's call for a defunding of PBS, Actor LeVar Burton confirms that while you don't have to be a dope to be successful in Hollywood, it certainly doesn't hurt.

I was outraged. I couldn’t believe the man actually fixed his mouth to say that. I took it as an attack on children...

Deval Patrick, governor of Massachusetts, demonstrates the bigotry of the hateful left by calling Scott Brown a birther.

Senator Brown has turned into a Bay State Birther, and it doesn't have anything to do with solutions to help the people of Massachusetts.

I wonder if Deval spending most of his time out of state to build a national base of support campaigning for Obama's reelection has anything to do with solutions to help the people of Massachusetts.

A Pennsylvania state rep refuses to lead the pledge at a committee hearing.

Based on my First Amendment rights and based on the fact that I really think it's a prayer. I don't pray in public.

Afterward, Josephs was unapologetic. She said she was about 14 years old when Congress inserted the words 'under God' into the Pledge. She insists that makes it a prayer.

"How many years ago was 1954? I have not said the Pledge of Allegiance since and I will not say it into the future unless they take those words out and make it less of a prayer," Josephs said.

Metcalfe concedes it is Josephs' right to not say the Pledge. He just thinks it's wrong.
