Obama Tape Needs Breitbart

The "new" Obama tape shown last night on Hannity and planned by Breitbart as the launch of a belated vetting process of Barack Obama is no smoking gun. While his association with Harvard radical might have been important in driving home the point of the president's radical roots during his first campaign, it's not explosive for an American electorate that knows and likes the man.

Derrick Bell was the Jeremiah Wright of academia.

What's missing is Andrew Breitbart's packaging and the marketing of the tape. Andrew would be painting a vivid picture of how the Obama campaign and its sympathizers (like WGBH - public television in Boston) kept evidence of Obama's radicalism under wraps, allowing the president to minimize his relationships with Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers as superficial and anomalous.
