Obama Plays the Osama Card
The president must have been thrilled to have been asked what he thought of Republican accusations that he's an appeaser on middle east matters.
"Ask Osama bin Laden and the 22 out of 30 top al-Qaeda leaders who've been taken off the field whether I en-gage in appeasement - or whoever's left out there, ask them about that," Obama said quietly and firmly.
Obama's campaign to eliminate top leaders of al-Qaeda and other groups through drone strikes and other missions appears to have insulated him from traditional Republican claims that Democrats are soft on national security. In May, Obama ordered a risky U.S. special forces raid that killed al-Qaeda leader bin Laden in his hideout deep inside Pakistan, and has presided over drone strikes that have obliterated other extremist group leaders.
I guess it was a good idea for Obama to be Bush II on foreign affairs.
