Obama: Agenda Now Pursued Illegally

The Dream Act didn't get passed in congress. Neither did Card Check. The Global Warming agenda isn't being embraced there either. So, the president decided to take the unconstitutional route and achieve his goals through regulation... a move which he recently admitted is illegal.

Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own... believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting, I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. But that’s not how... that’s not how our system works.

The White House, meanwhile, advises what the president is up to.

A White House official released the president's summer reading list. During his trip to Bunch of Grapes bookstore yesterday, in addition to some books he purchased for his daughters, POTUS bought The Bayou Trilogy, a collection by Daniel Woodrell; and Rodin's Debutante, by Martha's Vineyard seasonal resident Ward Just.

The President also brought three books with him on this trip: Cutting for Stone, a novel by Abraham Verghese; To the End of the Land, fiction by David Grossman, and The Warmth of Other Suns, the story of African-American migration from the South to Northern cities.
