NPR Fires Juan WIlliams Over the Phone
The story of the firing of Juan Williams from NPR continues to fascinate. Questions arise - for example, how is it that such stupid people as the management at NPR can get such cushy jobs? And, why is the party of compassion so unable to practice what they preach?
If anyone still needed proof that taxpayer-funded public broadcasting is obsolete and has a negative effect on discourse in America, leftwing NPR provided it on Wednesday. Firing Juan Williams in a spasm of politically correct intolerance, NPR made the case for ending taxpayer support for itself and public broadcasting at large.
Williams was fired over the phone and refused even the courtesy of a face-to-face meeting.
Juan's life will get better, ironically.
Juan doesn't have to worry about his pocket hurting. According to reports, Fox News has signed Juan Williams to a new, three-year, $2 million contract.
The danger for the left is that they live in cocoons where people follow the oppressive rules of the PC movement and come to think that it's normal.
