Not Optimistic

The most obvious thing in the world is that no one who cares about the future of our country should be supporting the Supreme Court nomination of Elena Kagan. She's a carefully crafted stealth weapon designed to torpedo the constitution.

Appearing on CBS's "Face the Nation," Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said it was "conceivable" that a "filibuster might occur," should Kagan prove during the hearings to have extraordinary views.
While Sessions thinks GOP opposition is not a lost cause, I'm not optimistic. For some reason, everyone thinks they have to play ball on radical court nominees.
Even if a filibuster doesn't materialize, however, the hearings won't be short of political dramatics. Sessions called Kagan the least experienced nominee "at least in the last 50 years" and declared that she had "serious deficiencies" that needed to be addressed.
She's an Obama radical. That should be the mantra of Republicans. Arguments about experience are just making noise.
