Not One Job

The stimulus program was rolled out a year ago today, so lots of people are talking about whether it's been a success or not. The president, naturally, thinks it's been a boon.

President Obama credits the one-year-old economic stimulus legislation with staving off a second depression. But in remarks a short time ago in Washington, he also acknowledged that with unemployment rates still hovering around 10%, "it doesn't yet feel like much of a recovery" for many families.
A few days ago, Scott Brown was chastised by Dems for suggesting the stimulus hadn't created one job. But listen to Democrat Evan Bayh confirm Scott's position.
"If I could create one job in the private sector by helping to grow a business, that would be one more than Congress has created in the last six months," Bayh said.
What is Evan's reward for telling the truth? The vast left wing conspiracy puts him on the hit list!
A senior House Democratic aide: “It is hard to stomach lectures from Sen. Bayh on Jobs. For most Americans, if they were as unproductive in their jobs as Bayh has been in his, they wouldn’t have the luxury of quitting — they would be fired.”
It's a fight over storylines now, with Democrats releasing an ad calling Republicans hypocrites for their love of stimulus pork.
