Momma's Been Burned, Not Trusting Teddy

Ted Williams brought his mother on the Today Show. Now, she must be proud.

Ted Williams, the homeless man with the golden voice who's gone from the streets of Columbus, Ohio, to nationwide fame this week because of a Columbus Dispatch video, made another appearance on NBC's Today Show this morning — this time with his 90-year-old mother Julia.

"I felt like I brought so much disgrace to this woman," said Williams, 53, that he avoided speaking to her in recent years. And his mother confirmed that. When they talked in years past, she said, "all I got was promises" that he would get his life together.
