Mitt's Bad Day Sends Etch a Sketch Soaring

The presidential campaign turned into a marketing campaign for Etch a Sketch in the aftermath of Eric Fehrnstrom's confession, on national TV, that Mitt would be dumping his conservative views after the election... making Thursday bad for Mitt Romney, but a great day for investors.

141%... Ohio Art stock jumped that much Thursday after its Etch A Sketch toy became a metaphor for Mitt Romney's campaign. The thinly traded shares rose to $9.65 from $4. Wednesday, Romney aide Eric Fehrnstrom was asked whether he feared his boss might take extreme positions in the Republican primary that could alienate moderates in the general election. "You hit a reset button for the fall campaign," Fehrnstrom said. "It's almost like an Etch A Sketch."
