The GOP isn't giving up on the Missouri senate race just because it's given up on Todd Akin. At least Mary Matalin hasn't.

We're gonna win Missouri... the party's going get Ann Wagner in... we'll run a write-in, we can do it...

Wagner is currently running for the congressional seat that Akin has been representing - the GOP power structure has been hoping the two could swap races.

After all the uproar and media attacks, Akin is only behind McCaskill by 9 points. He had been up 5 in late July.
