role models - The Europeans.
Big, power-guzzling plasma screens could soon be banned in the UK as part of the battle against climate change, ministers have announced. With minimum energy performance standards expected to be agreed across Europe this spring, the most inefficient TVs look likely to be phased out, while a compulsory labeling system will show the best and worst devices.NO, even Dems aren't stupid enough to mess with our TV's, are they? How about our lightbulbs? Back to Britain:
Traditional light bulbs are being phased out has led to panic buying in south Essex. Incandescent light bulbs are being replaced by low-energy bulbs as part of a Government campaign to get people to use less energy.Would they dare do that here? Yes - they already have - over a year ago!!!
The incandescent light bulb, one of the most venerable inventions of its era but deemed too inefficient for our own, will be phased off the U.S. market beginning in 2012 under the new energy law just approved by Congress.Wow. Does any of this make sense? Considering that the Global Warming Fad is quickly getting as dim as a CFL?
The new century has cooled the case for climate alarmism. Global warming has stalled — not accelerated as expected. Greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere have increased, but temperatures have been flat for the last eight years and have slightly fallen since 1998's El Nino-driven temperature spike. And considering that the mad environmentalists never told us how dangerous the mercury in a CFL is?
- Have people and pets leave the room, and don't let anyone walk through the breakage area on their way out.
- Open a window and leave the room for 15 minutes or more.
- Shut off the central forced-air heating/air conditioning system, if you have one.
