Kerry Calls it the Tea Party Downgrade
John Kerry, who says statesmanship is needed to resolve the nation's debt problems, declares that he won't be rising to the occasion when he tries to tag the Standard & Poor's lowering of the US credit rating as the "Tea Party Downgrade." But Kerry's just reciting the lines given him by Obama honcho David Axelrod:
"The fact of the matter is that this is essentially a Tea Party downgrade," he (Axelrod) declared. "That clearly is on the backs of those who were willing to see the country default."
Never mind that the only reason any action was taken on the debt was at the insistence of the Tea Party.
