The Hammer

Charles Krauthammer had the best analysis I've heard on President Obama's 17 minute, 2500 word response to a suggestion from a town hall participant that we're taxed enough already.

In answer to a question from Doris of Lake Wylie, S.C., Kornblut wrote that Obama gave a 17-minute response that lulled "the crowd into a daze" as "his discursive answer - more than 2,500 words long - wandered from topic to topic." The worst part: Obama didn't answer the question. He didn't even come close. At the end of Obama’s 17 minute answer on higher taxes and healthcare he actually acknowledged that it was indeed a long answer and he “hoped” that he answered Doris’ question. I think Doris, you, me and everyone else are dumber for having heard it. Oh, and by the way, he didn’t answer the question.
