Mark Halperin made some nice confessions over the past several days about the role, and allegiance, of the media as exposed in coverage of the Romney campaign.

I think the press still likes this story a lot. The media is very susceptible to doing what the Obama campaign wants, which is to focus on this... Do voters care about it? I don't think so... The economy's still top - front and center... there are bigger issues in the campaign
