Liberal Democrat Senator Tom Harkin objected last week to the Obama plan to do another payroll tax reduction by robbing the Social Security Trust Fund of $100 billion in money. Former Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs says the SS fund doesn't need the money.

This does not in any way threaten the livelihood of Social Security.
