If you haven't experienced it first hand, you wouldn't expect that the oft-snarly Barney Frank would act like a regular politican from time to time, behaving in embarrassing ways trying to make people like him. Last night on Hardball, he sucked up - in pathetic form - to Chris Matthews.

Can I congratulate you on one thing, which is probably your parochial school education? You pronounce bona fides better than anybody.
