Eliot Spitzer Running For Moron of the Year?

I'm really curious about Eliot Spitzer saying the Tea Party will destroy our country. Why would any informed person say that when 1) overspending is a crisis, and 2) the TP is the movement forcing it to be confronted?
In my book, this makes the Tea Party the most important, and positive, political force in the country.
