What a great day! We had a few hundred people on Boston Common from noon to 3pm yesterday, with tons of great speakers. The vibe was very upbeat and fun, and the frazzled organizers, who worked entirely on their own to put this thing together, did a great job.
The media reports that the events were orchestrated by above were not supported by what I saw in Boston or Lowell, but so what if they were? It is still people who need to show up and make things happen. The media didn't seem concerned with central planning when they would rave about the big turnouts Barack got during the campaign, did they.
The crowd in Lowell was decidedly pro-WRKO - it was a pleasure meeting so many Merrimack Valley listeners!
Lots of great signs - my favorite was Don't Tax Me, Bro!
