Dethroned Royal

President Kennedy's daughter has done such a bad job of playing the part of Princess Caroline, the only job she's ever known, that Governor Paterson has now withdrawn the offer of Senate Ordination! In response, Caroline sparkles, claiming to have taken her name out of the running, offering up a brilliant little lie that many will believe.
The move was spurred in part by the worsening health of her uncle, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), they said. The elder Kennedy, who is diagnosed with brain cancer, collapsed during a luncheon after Tuesday's presidential inauguration. He was hospitalized for a seizure but released yesterday.
Does it matter that Teddy got his lethal diagnosis long before the election of Obama, the selection of Hillary as Secretary of State, and the opening of the Senate seat? Nah... On the other hand, the signals from the Kennedy camp are confusing.
Caroline Kennedy has bowed out of the race to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton in the U.S. Senate, aides to Gov. David A. Paterson said last night, but a person close to her decision told The Associated Press that she remains in the running.
Just as she was starting to look like a wonderful potential successor to Harry Reid, Caroline issued a definitive statement.
"I informed Governor [David] Paterson today that for personal reasons I am withdrawing my name from consideration for the United States Senate."
