Dean Gets Thrills From Obama Attack on Rich
Howard Dean was thrilled with this part of the State of the Union.
And if we truly care about our deficit, we simply cannot afford a permanent extension of the tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. Before we take money away from our schools, or scholarships away from our students, we should ask millionaires to give up their tax break.
It’s not a matter of punishing their success. It’s about promoting America’s success.
Dean's reaction to Obama's rather benign pushback against the tax deal he negotiated during the lame duck session? Thrills going up his leg.
He makes it clear he wants to work with the congress but with the most extraordinary thing is he lays down the gap gauntlet. Millionaires will have to pay more taxes if we are going to cut kids and other folks dependent on it. He made it clear this is going be a shared sacrifice and the tax cut extended for the people who make a million a year is not going to be extended again if we are going to do anything about the deficit. That was extraordinary.
Dean can't see he's being played? Or, he wants to highlight the comment so the left will hold Obama to it?
