David Brooks Objects to President's Tone

New York Times moderate David Brooks says the president may be right on the substance of his position in the debt ceiling negotiations, but he's never seen a president show such anger and impatience speaking in public, and he expects it to alienate the GOP.

It's kind of hard to go along with someone who's insulting you all the time... alot of people will take a look at it and say there's arrogance and self-superiority there.

I wish the White House staff had said, 'Mr. President, you're really hot right now, wait till tomorrow." I think it would've been better for the country, and better for him.
