Chu Changes Course on Higher Gas Prices
Energy Secretary Steven Chu has changed his mind and says he doesn't want higher gas prices anymore. He explains, somewhat incoherently, that higher prices could hurt the economic recovery.
I no longer share that view... in this economic, very slow, but, but you know, return that we need to, ah, we need to have these prices well could well effect the comeback of our economy.
Jay Carney, the White House spokesman, says don't worry about Chu, as the energy secretary's views on gas prices didn't reflect the administration view anyway.
Can you say flip-flop?
