Chomskian Lessons

Liberals may be malicious, but you can't claim they're not shrewd.

Not only do Democrats pay for their voter's support using our money, they develop their philosophies and strategies at think tanks that we finance.
THE GREATEST injustice in Arizona’s new immigration law is being ignored by the mainstream media.
The university system, funded by tax dollars, offers sanctuary and a livelihood to leftists so outside the mainstream and so contemptuous of their country that they would be otherwise unemployable.
Certainly it is true that, as has been reported, people oppose this law because it would promote racial profiling and would increase the power of police to detain and question innocent people.
Consider the letter to the editor in today's Boston Globe from a University of Massachusetts professor whose disdain for this country is so great that he doesn't believe we have the right to protect our borders. In other words, we have no right to our sovereignty.
What goes unmentioned, however, is that some of us also feel that the fundamental aim of this law - enforcement of federal immigration regulations - is immoral.
Protected by the idea of academic freedom, America haters like Ward Churchill or Bill Ayers are given plum positions where they are well paid to develop their radical ideas and infuse those beliefs into their students.
A great many undocumented immigrants come here from countries that the United States has systematically devastated for generations by overthrowing democracy (as in Guatemala), sponsoring dictatorship and state terror (Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Haiti), and invading and annexing territory (Mexico). Actions such as these have helped the United States to control a grossly outsized share of world resources.
Even private universities are funded by the government - receiving big money for medical research and grants of all sorts. Overblown tuition is subsidized through student loans, now taken over the by the Obama administration as part of the long term plan to make college education free.
Until the US share of world resources is proportional to its population, so-called illegal immigrants will have a moral claim second to none on the rights of US citizenship. Arizona’s new law, like the federal laws it seeks to enforce, is an assault on people’s basic right to feed and clothe their families - in other words, on their right to access their fair share of the planet’s wealth, the patrimony of humanity.
Did you catch that phrase - "second to none"? Our rights to citizenship fall behind those who break in, according to Professor Minkoff. This from the linguist whose salary is paid by the (illegitimate) citizens of Massachusetts.
The professor was trained by and is a disciple of MIT radical Noam Chomsky, who doesn't seem to have much patience for this sort of ivory tower mouthing off.
“I don’t bother writing about Fox News,” Chomsky says. “It is too easy. What I talk about are the liberal intellectuals, the ones who portray themselves and perceive themselves as challenging power, as courageous, as standing up for truth and justice. They are basically the guardians of the faith. They set the limits. They tell us how far we can go. They say, ‘Look how courageous I am.’ But do not go one millimeter beyond that. At least for the educated sectors, they are the most dangerous in supporting power.”
They may be hateful, these liberals, but they sure know how to run a scam.
