Biden's Class Warfare Costs $10K per Couple
Organic steak and White Truffle Mashed Potatoes were served to 87 dinner guests at the Kerry/Heinz mansion in Georgetown as Joe Biden announced that Republicans can't relate to the middle class. The crowd had paid $10,000 per couple to attend the fundraiser.
The event, to benefit Obama’s re-election campaign, was held in front of a bubbling fountain on a brick terrace in Kerry’s garden. The evening was an unseasonably pleasant 65 degrees -- although the sky threatened rain with a few drops.
The 87 guests paid a minimum of $10,000 per couple to dine on char-grilled, grass-fed New York strip steaks and white truffle mashed potatoes beneath a tent basked in soft pink lighting.
Before the talk, Biden mingled with guests, regaling one table with his love of Amtrak. Having never moved to Washington during his 36 years in the Senate, he commuted by train from Delaware each day – apparently making 7,920 round trips during those years.
