Bachmann: Message From God

Democrats are so hostile to and distant from religion that they have no way of judging whether Michele Bachmann is serious or not when she says Irene was a "message from God. "

Bachmann's original comment was: "I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, 'Are you going to start listening to me here?'"
Obviously she was saying it in jest," press secretary Alice Stewart told TPM.

She also had a good line on spending, saying the government is on a morbid obesity diet.
