Bachmann Leaves with Fighting Words
With false eyelashes in place and hair carefully styled, an always photogenic Michele Bachmann gave in the the obvious today - her race for the presidency is over. Bachmann used the opportunity to tout her faith, her commitment to the Constitution, and her devotion to stopping socialized medicine.
And I believe that if we are going to repeal ObamaCare, turn our country around and take back our country, we must do so united. And I believe we must rally behind the person that our country, and our party, and our people select to be that standard bearer.
I will continue fighting to defeat the president’s agenda of socialism, and I’ll continue to fight for you, for more liberty and less government, to stop the overspending in Washington, to keep the country free, safe and sovereign.
Bachmann seemed to rush through her prepared remarks, as if uncomfortable being on stage delivering a a speech of defeat. She's a stronger presenter, I think, when she's speaking extemporaneously.
