Any Lie Will Do

Even if it wasn't the intention of the president to deceive the American people, it would be silly not to assume the obvious.
In back-to-back meetings in the Oval Office and Roosevelt Room, Obama urged uneasy rank-and-file moderates and progressives to focus on the positives rather than their deep disappointment with parts of the bill.
The White House wants to pass whatever health care bill it can right now - it doesn't matter much what's in it, as they'll come back later to make it closer, inch by inch, to the socialist model they favor.
The lawmakers said Obama assured them the legislation was merely the first step, and he promised to work with them in the future to improve its provisions.
Remember, the president has used the fact that the Medicare and Medicaid programs are bringing the country to bankruptcy as justification for passing this bigger, more destructive healthcare measure.
The president said that the costs of Medicare and Medicaid are on an “unsustainable” trajectory and if there is no action taken to bring them down, “the federal government will go bankrupt.”
