There has been so much false information floating around about the new Arizona Illegal Alien Law we wanted to correct the record. Here's what you need to know. It's written by one of the people who drafted the language of the law and appears in Thursday, April 29th New York Times. Read it here.

It always works better when a good writer uses humor to make their point instead of angry words. PJ O'Rourke is one of the best at it. Here's his latest column on President Obama, click here to read on.

Wow! What a vicious hit by the Boston Globe's Joan Vennochi on GOP candidate for governor, Charlie Baker (read it here). Baker came out against the "bathroom bill" and the folks at the Globe are not happy. Baker needs positive coverage from the Globe to attract the moderate voters he needs to win. So far, not so good.

Last week, before the GOP State Convention, Christy Mihos and Charlie Baker were going after each other pretty hard. Now that the convention is over and Christy is out of the race, they are best buddies going to the Bruins and having a few cold ones. That's politics!

Right on time, there is a front page story in the Boston Globe today pushing the spin that Governor Deval Patrick is turning the corner and is now on the path to victory in November. Any proof to back up that spin? Well, the reporter cites an internal Patrick campaign poll but doesn't print the numbers. I think I'll wait until our friend Scott Rasmussen (who you have heard on our show) or some other independent pollster gives us some fresh stats. There is no doubt that the Governor is a good campaigner but he has many, many questions to answer between now and election day. I've helped run re-election campaigns and they are not easy. But the Patrick campaign has to be very happy with the Globe story today.

The story that comes from Politico today strongly backs up what a lot of us have been saying for at least a year. The most important election in the country for President Obama in 2010 is right here in Massachusetts. If Patrick loses, Team Obama is very afraid that it will become a national story seemingly predicting what will happen to the President in 2012. And even with their control of the national press, it is a story that will really hurt the President.

Last night I had an interview with WBZ's Jon Keller and we discussed what President Obama's trip to the MEMA bunker does for his popularity with flooding victims.

A health care cartoon

Let me get this straight. We're going to be gifted with a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says hedoesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president who also hasn't read it and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke.

What the hell could possibly go wrong?

The Chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, John Walsh and the Chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party, Jennifer Nassour will join us on the Charley Manning Show today to talk about President Obama’s April Fool’s Day visit to Boston. POTUS is coming for a major fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee. It’s his first visit to Boston since the ill-fated campaign trip to try and keep now US Senator Scott Brown from becoming the crucial 41st vote in Washington. Ah … how did that work out for him? It is always very interesting when the most important person in the world comes to our city. We will have all the details on the show today.
