A large fire that broke out early Tuesday morning in Revere has left more than a dozen people displaced, according to fire officials. The four-alarm fire, which started sometime before four a.m., left two homes destroyed and multiple others damaged.

The buildings that are likely to be torn down are on Taft Street, just off Revere Beach Parkway. The city deputy fire chief estimates the blaze caused around $1.5 million in damages.

Firefighters from multiple communities helped out on the scene. The mayor's office told the Boston Globe a firefighter from Cambridge sustained a non-life threatening injury. No other people were hurt.

The city building inspector is expected to be on the scene assessing the damage Tuesday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
