Local Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is accusing the former team doctor of sexual abuse. The Needham native opened up on CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview that airs Sunday.

Raisman describes the alleged abuse in her soon to be released book “Fierce” detailing her road to the Olympics, and insights into the sexual assault scandal.

The three-time gold medalist is the second member of the 2012 Olympic team to claim Nassar abused them. Gymnast McKayla Maroney says she was assaulted starting at age 13.

Nassar worked with the U.S. national gymnastics teams for more than two decades. He remains jailed after pleading guilty to child pornography charges. He has not been convicted of sexual assault, more than 100 women have come forward claiming abuse. The women say Nasser assaulted them under the guise of treatment for athletic injuries. He is awaiting trial on the sexual conduct charges.

U.S.A. Gymnastics says they have made changes since the scandal broke by adding new protocols. The organization plans to work with the alleged victims.
