Lawyers representing Aaron Hernandez are suing the Patriots and the NFL for failing to disclose the link between CTE and suicidal impulses. Attorney Jose Baez claims Hernandez suffered from late stage 3 CTE,  symptoms include memory loss, aggression, and loss of impulse control.

Baez went on to say the Patriots were aware of the damage that could result from repetitive impact injuries and did not disclose the dangers. The former Patriots star killed himself in his prison cell in April, just days after being acquitted of a double homicide. He was already serving life for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. The suit is being filed by Hernandez’s fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez on behalf of the daughter the couple shared.
