Boston to tighten security at events

Las Vegas gunman may have scouted local sites

Expect to see tightened security around the city of Boston in the wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting.

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans confirming the FBI says gunman Stephen Paddock researched Boston locations online, including hotels near Fenway Park. Evans says it does not appear Paddock booked a room or traveled to Boston.

There are several high profile events taking place in Boston over the next few weeks including a Bruno Mars, Red Sox games, and a concert on City Hall Plaza.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh once again urging citizens to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious according to WHDH. Governor Charlie Baker adding there is no immediate threat to the city or region.
