Three office towers and housing being planned for the site

The Boston Planning and Development Agency is giving their blessing to plans for a large tower atop Back Bay Station.  The billion-dollar project offered by Boston Properties had been opposed by Old South Church over the shadows that will be cast by the tower.  The developer is agreeing to pay three-million-dollars to a preservation fund, and another three-million for affordable housing. Boston Properties is planning three towers of office and housing at the site, along with new concourses.
